Interested from childhood and working concomitantly in music, dance, theatre, painting and writing, Chandra gained insights into the integral unity and shared aesthetics of arts. This she researched and taught in the Humanities for thirty years at The American University, University of Michigan and Morgan State University. Art in a museum context she explained as a docent for eleven years at the Baltimore Museum of Art, and convinced herself that a good painting lies somewhere between purely idea-driven visual imagery and photography. She seeks this “somewhere” in her paintings.

In her other pursuits, she published three academic books, thirty articles and two disks of devotional lyrics written, composed and sung by her. For details please contact sainad1@yahoo.com.
