About Dave

I attended San Jose State University and received a BA and MA Degree in History. One of those years was spent in Berlin, Germany at the Free University of Berlin. I met Liyuza, a Turkish Archaeologist, in Rome. She had been studying in Athens. We married in 1965. Liyuza earned an MA in Art History in San Jose State. I taught five years at Bellarmine. I became a licensed Real Estate Agent in 1970 and in 1975, a Real Estate Broker and started Amber Realty, which both of our daughters help run.

Our marriage was one in which two travelers found each other. We’ve been everywhere in Western Europe except Portugal. We have viewed much of the world’s finest Art. The longest stay with any social group was five years with Toastmasters, followed by six years, just ended, as an Arts Commissioner for the City of San Jose.

I have taken art classes off and on for a number of years. I have visited such Art Mediums as water color, graphite sketching, oil pastel and acrylic. I take great pleasure in purchasing art. This is the first opportunity for showing my art and I am very excited about membership in the Campbell Artists Guild and the learning potential it offers.
