Karen Adamski
About Karen
Karen Adamski was born and raised in Cupertino California in a very creative household. She currently resides with her husband and two children in San Jose California. Growing up, and throughout her education, Karen enjoyed “creative” classes much more that “academic” classes. She earned a degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising from FIDM in San Francisco, California. Karen’s inspiration for painting started with an “urge to try something new” and the gift of an easel from her family in 2005. She paints with both oil and acrylic, and she enjoys working with bold and vibrant colors. Karen has been acknowledged by her peers as an emerging artist on the local art scene.
“Painting makes me feel relaxed and happy. I love getting lost in my paintings… I loose all sense of time while I’m painting, and it’s a great feeling! Painting has taught me to see the world around me differently. I have learned to appreciate light, color, reflection and shape. I’m always learning and trying to better my talent. I’m inspired by tropics, costal scenes, Lake Tahoe, and places with fun memories. I enjoy painting both at home and en plein-air.”
